How does comment moderation work in Sparrow? How do I manage reported comments?
Sparrow has implemented a crowd sourcing model for comment moderation. Employees can flag comments as inappropriate. This design decision was made based on the following factors:
- Tedious Process: having employee communications responsible for approving every comment is a tedious and time-consuming process.
- Low Probabilities: Over 99.99% of the comments made in Sparrow are fine.
- Visibility: Sparrow comments carry with them a payload that includes the user who made the comment and the date and time the comment was made.

An email notification is sent to administrators when comments are reported.
Under Activity Tools, the Sparrow’s admin portal has a section allowing administrators to address inappropriate comments by either ignoring them or deleting them.
