      Language and Label Settings

      Overview

      Sparrow owners have the flexibility to select multiple languages and instantly create draft translations for their communications. To streamline this process, Sparrow uses a set of default labels as a foundation for generating translations.

      The following document outlines the default labels currently available. These labels serve as the starting point for your translations and can be customized to meet your specific needs. We invite you to review the list and indicate any changes or preferences you’d like to set as your defaults. This will ensure that translations align with your organization's tone and messaging standards.

      Breaking News Thumbnail Banner

      When a post is marked as Breaking News, a thumbnail banner with this label is displayed. However, this designation does not pin the post or affect its position in the feed. You can specify a start and end date for the Breaking News label, with a maximum display period of 30 days.

      Default label text: Breaking

      Maximum character limit: 50

      Breaking News Banner Description

      This message supports the breaking news banner, and appears on the hero image within a post set as breaking news.

      Default label text: Breaking News! Share with colleagues and spread the word.

      Maximum character limit: 100

       

      Compliance Thumbnail Banner

       

       

       

       

       

      Compliance posts will display this text as a banner on the post thumbnail, which informs readers that the post requires compliance. A Compliance post will stay at the top of the news feed or content band until it has been complied with.

      Default label text: Compliance

      Maximum character limit: 50

      Compliance Banner Description

      This message supports the compliance banner text and appears on the hero image within a compliance post.

      Default label text: Please comply using the checkbox down below.

      Maximum character limit: 100

       

      Compliance Checkbox Message

      This message is accompanied by a checkbox and appears under the body of a compliance post, which allows readers to acknowledge and/or agree to the post.

      Default label text: I acknowledge that I understand the above post.

      Maximum character limit: 100

      Complied Thumbnail Banner

      If a reader has already complied to the compliance post, the Complied Banner replaces the Compliance Banner.

      Default label text: Complied

      Maximum character limit: 50

      Complied Banner Description

      If a reader has already complied with the post, this message appears on the hero image within a complied post.

      Desired label text: You have already read and complied to this post.

      Maximum character limit: 100

      Featured News Thumbnail Banner

      When a post is marked as Featured News, a thumbnail banner with this label is displayed. However, this designation does not pin the post or affect its position in the feed. You can specify a start and end date for the Featured News label, with a maximum display period of 30 days.

      Default label text: Featured

      Maximum character limit: 50

       

      Featured News Banner Description

      This message supports the featured news banner, and appears on the hero image within a post set as featured news.

      Default label text: Keep in the loop and get the latest facts.

      Maximum character limit: 100

       

      Mandatory Thumbnail Banner

      Mandatory Posts will display this text as a banner on the post thumbnail, which informs readers that the post is a mandatory read. Unread Mandatory posts will stay at the top of the news feed (or content band) until the post is read.

      Default label text: Required

      Maximum character limit: 50

      Mandatory Banner Description

      This message supports the mandatory banner text and appears on the hero image within a mandatory post.

      Default label text: You are required to read this news post.

      Maximum character limit: 100

      Public Posts Thumbnail Banner

      This text appears on a thumbnail banner if a post is available to the public through the Company Portal.

      Desired label text: Public

      Maximum character limit: 50

      Public Banner Description

      This message supports public post banners and appears on hero images within public posts.

      Default label text: This is a public post.

      Maximum character limit: 100

       

      Public Banner Description Share Title

      This will be displayed to replace the Deep Linking URL at the end of the Public Banner Description.

      Default label text: Share it through here.

      Maximum character limit: 50

       

      Private Posts and Events Thumbnail Banner

      This text appears on a thumbnail banner if a post or event is tagged with topics that are restricted/exclusive to specific audiences. Only members of those audiences will see these posts.

      Default label text: Locked

      Maximum character limit: 50

       

      Private Banner Description

      This message supports private post and events and appears on hero images.

      Default label text: This news post is exclusive to specific audiences.

      Maximum character limit: 100
