Contributor Permissions - Customizing

You can customize the permissions of a user depending on the role you assign them. For Contributors, you can decide which Contributor can create and submit using certain topics.

Setting these content creation permissions and assigning specific topics will hide all other topics from a Contributor when they are creating new content.

Contributors can only submit content, Authors or Owners will need to review, approve and publish it for the content to go live.

  1. Go to the Users & Permissions
  2. Search and select the user
  3. On the user's profile, click on View Permissions

  4. In the drawer, assign the user with the Contributor role

  5. Under Content Submission permissions, select at least one (1) topic that they can select when they are creating and submitting content.

  6. Hit Save

The Contributor will only be able to create and submit content using topics they have access to, and will only be able to target audiences attached to the topics they used.

After a Contributor creates and submits a post, Authors and Owners can review and publish the content. Those who are assigned as Submission Managers will get directly notified through email and/or MS Teams.
